Sludge Treatment

The sludge treatment stations include all fluid handling including the addition of primary thickeners‚ final addition of thickeners (such as Iron Chloride)‚ addition of Calcium Hydroxide‚ processing of digested sludge and removal of filter cake. There are multiple types of system requirements and they depend on the stage of the process‚ the chemical added for treatment and size of particulates or waste; consequently you’ll find multiple types of CIRCOR branded Allweiler pumps throughout polymer feed systems. Pump types found in this stage include progressing cavity‚ progressing cavity with hopper design and hose or peristaltic.

In the removal of filter cake‚ progressing cavity pumps with a hopper design are used to further breakdown the cake and send it further down stream to the final treatment station.
